About Angelica Berrie
Angelica Berrie is the president of The Russell Berrie Foundation, which counts among its many accomplishments the creation of the Naomi Berrie Diabetes Center at New York Presbyterian Hospital, the Russ Berrie Institute for Professional Sales at William Paterson University, the Berrie Fellows Leadership Program, the Russ and Angelica Berrie Humanistic Care Center at Englewood Hospital, the Angelica and Russell Berrie Performing Arts Center at Ramapo College, and the Russell Berrie Nanotechnology Institute at the Technion in Israel.
From 2003-2006, Angelica served as Board Chair of Gilda's Club Worldwide, a cancer support community for families living with cancer. Currently, Angelica serves as Board Chair for the Center for Inter-Religious Understanding, which fosters interfaith dialogue between world religions. She is also a board member of the American Friends of the Shalom Hartman Institute, a pluralistic center of study in Jerusalem. Angelica has also served on the Board of The Arnold P. Gold Foundation for Humanism in Medicine.
In August 2008, Angelica took three Women United in Philanthropy members-Janet Sharma, Valerie Huttle and Maxine Frampton---along with seven others, on a civic mission to Israel in celebration of its 60th anniversary. It was a life-changing opportunity to see the difference leadership, philanthropy and commitment can make in the world. We look forward to sharing our experiences with you.
