CNJG Program Oct. 9th

New Strategies for Combating Domestic Violence

Join colleagues during Domestic Violence Awareness Month for a briefing on domestic violence protection and prevention initiatives in New Jersey. Discussion will focus on the scope of domestic violence in our state, the impact of domestic violence and cost to communities, challenges and promising practices, and our vision for making communities in New Jersey safer by keeping families safe.

We are very pleased that Essex County Prosecutor Paula Dow will join us to speak. In addition, Lupita Reyes (National Program Director - Safety & Health, Verizon Foundation) will facilitate a panel discussion with Mary Houtsma (Director of Special Projects, Partners for Women and Justice), Barbara Price (Executive Director, NJ Coalition for Battered Women), Jennifer DeCarli (Executive Director, New York City Family Justice Center in Brooklyn, Mayor’s Office to Combat Domestic Violence) will be presented.

Cost: Free for CNJG members and non-members
